EDIT: Upon recently returning the quality of everything has significantly increased. Everything was perfect except the communication between servers and kitchen. Loss of ordered items or food delayed. They need 2 sushi chefs on a busy night. OLD: The food and service are average from what you would expect from a local sushi grill. My only discrepancy would be how the place is cleaned and maintained, most of the walls, chairs and tables, and dishes are dirty.
So disappointed. Stopped in on Saturday 11/11/17 afternoon around 1:15pm. They were not busy, just one other table when we arrived. We were greeted promptly and seated. Server was very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable even when 2 other parties arrived. Can't understand why it took so long for the sushi chef to make our order once it was given to him. Once he finished the order he yelled ORDER READY (that is what he yelled when the other 2 tables food was ready also) the yelling was not a pleasant or professional way to get the servers attention. I guess you get what you pay for, $5 sushi rolls. The food was very bland not even worth the $5. In the future I will go to Fry's and get my sushi, it is fresher, faster. Biggest disappointment was when we asked to get a to go order for our son the poor server had to come back and tell us the chef had closed the sushi bar! WHAT #1 what restaurant closes at 2pm on Saturday? #2 what owner/chef says NO to a paying customer when they add to their order at 2:03pm???? Probably for the best as the food was not good anyways. I was just trying to get out of cooking when I got home. We will never go back.
Oh I love this place! Always great service and amazing sushi! If you would like to customize your sushi they will do that also! Hands down the best sushi
