Verrado Middle School

My son has been attending the 6th grade for 6 weeks at this school. He came home with a temp of over 103 degrees. I asked him why he didn't go to the nurse, I would have come & got him. His response was that he asked 2 different teachers, on 2 separate occasions and was denied access both times. The only response I got, when bringing this to the attention of his teachers, is that he lied and never asked to see the nurse. I believe teachers over my son 99.9% of the time however, they're full of it. My son wouldn't lie about this. He'd do anything to come home or not go to school if he's able. He was CLEARLY sick when I picked him up from the bus stop. He was burning up!!! So I let the teachers know that I believe my son, not them, and to please not let it happen again. The day he goes back to school, before lunchtime I already receive an email from "said" teacher; that my son is getting a detention for "willful destruction to property" & "vandalism". He glued 2 notebooks together. (FYI- for some reason she added every one of my sons teachers onto this email even tho it happened in her class? Humiliation maybe? Trying to "prove" he's a bad kid") I don't condone that mischievous behavior and he totally deserves a detention. The timing and the wording is a bit suspicious. I'm now afraid that these teachers are going to treat him unfairly simply because I called them out. He already has trouble with his attention span and academics and needs a little more help than others may need. I'm worried he won't get that help now due to the pettiness of his teachers. Next move- a sit down with the principal and this group of teachers. My husband wants the superintendent involved but I'm not sure yet? What I am sure of... unless I switch him out of this school (which will devastate him because of his friends); this is gonna be a LONG 3 years!!! I pray that I can change my review of this place in the near future.

Went here to take a class,wast lost told me school was at dead end of induan school, well it turned into main st. Parked at opposite side of school and staff had amazing race day didn't get help from them. Walked bout 15 to min to front office which was on ther side of school.
