This Walmart has refused to give back my refund amount. I tried to return to this Walmart and Loss Prevention guy, Mike, made the decision for "customer service" to not give the refund amount of my receipt due to me using a manufacturer's coupon. Only the cash amount paid, and not the amount paid for by coupon (which is a form of payment not a disciunt) was offered back. After this happened and I returned to my vehicle, where my wife patiently waited, she went in and purchased product with coupon and again cash, and after a very short amount of time realizing the product was not the correct item she actually wanted, she attempted a return of the item. She was offered her cash and even though the coupon was found in the check-out employee's drawer and still present to be given back, She was informed that she could have the cash and instead of the coupon, a gift card.
Mike with loss Prevention is not only committing fraud on Walmart's behalf but if a customer accepts anything other than the full cash amount for the return, they to are committing fraud. Don't transfer coupons to Walmart gift cards. Coupons are non-transferable and cannot be replaced with a gift card... IT IS ILLEGAL!
